Sinziana Bunea is a junior (C’19) in the College of Arts and Sciences pursuing a degree in Economics. She is Romanian but has lived in the Netherlands where she completed the International Baccalaureate. While in school, she was very passionate about history, writing a research paper on Romania’s role in World War II. After a year studying PPE at the University of Amsterdam, she decided that Penn was the right fit for her and got ready to pursue the American Dream. Being an international student at Penn, she stumbled upon consumer issues and joined Penn CASE to help both herself and the community. She is especially passionate about helping international students navigate housing and health insurance. An internship in the life insurance field for MetLife Romania convinced her to pursue a career in finance, and she worked in Mergers and Acquisitions for KPMG in summer 2016 and then at Deloitte in summer 2017. When she is not spending nights studying in Huntsman Hall, she enjoys reading novels, especially historical fiction; cross country running; and ballroom dancing anytime a cha-cha song comes up.
